What do you do?
As the Business Relationship Manager for France, I lead the French market team to maximise business value for both new and existing clients.
How did you get here?
I was part of the team that set up the ReMark France Business Unit 17 years ago, developing the first client partnerships in this market.
I joined ReMark in 1999, taking advantage of the insurance experience gained during 4 years with the leading insurance broking firm in France, where I was in charge of developing insurance schemes dedicated to local authorities. Prior to that – armed with an MA in Political Science, followed by an MBA – I began my career working for a pan-EU non-profit organisation on an EU programme designed to improve the management of local authorities in Europe.
Why do you do it?
ReMark’s virtuous win-win partnership model impressed me initially – and after years of developing business in France, I am still convinced it is the key to efficient, trusting and long-term partnerships.
I’ve also been very lucky to experience the development of the company in France, from its early days as an innovative international start-up to its standing today as one of the world leaders in alternative distribution – growth characterised by an open-mindedness and spirit of innovation which underpin ReMark’s international identity and reputation.
What have you learned during your career?
That the perspective we have of things, can change the things themselves.
What do you do away from work?
Whenever I can, I go back to my roots by the sea, either in Normandy or Barcelona. I also like discovering new places and new cultures with family and friends, and I’m involved with several local charities to help improve education and community services.
